Questions on front hinge pin angles...
I've been trying a lot of different set ups on my buggy and I was wondering if anyone could help me wrap my brain around what the difference in the front hinge pin blocks do to the buggy.
Thanks

Re: Questions on front hinge pin angles...
The blocks along with the bushings can create more (or less) arm "kick up".
Basically speaking you add more angle as the track gets rougher in sections that are on power. Kick up will also make the buggy (or truggy) jump higher. (Sounds funny but try it if you are having problems popping over a low speed double) This also adds more caster so be aware of that. Higher pin angle also allows more weight transfer front to rear.
Lower arm angle or less "kick up" also has it's benefits. If the track is not blown out or rough this is more preferable unless the track is fast and has sweeping turns. Also as mentioned with jumping this low angle can have a great effect on getting the car "down" over jumps. If your car is spending too much time in the air this can help. Also making for less caster and building better low speed steering. Lower pin angle hinders weight transfer front to rear.
Now having said all of that why is there blocks that raise and lower the rear as well as bushings for the front? Not sure if this is what the designers had in mind, but you can change the height of the inner hinge pin (and outer to match or there in between) to create different camber angle and roll slope events. Quite similar to changing the height of the camber link on the shock tower or caster hub.
