Lee Martin and TRF201 Cruise to Victory

Lee Martin threw the hammer down in round three in qualifying, smashing the previous top time and placing him on TQ for the mains. Half way into the A1 and Peter Pinisch was hot on Lee’s rear end, and Lee was feeling the pressure - coming down the straight he came too close to the track marking, bouncing sideways across the corner and seeing Pinisch sneak past into 1st. On the following lap Pinisch landed bad coming off the tabletop, but this still wasn't enough and Lee couldn't quite slide through. Finally though the rear-end pressure proved enough for Pinisch and he hit the track marking coming up towards the double-double,

rolling his car but landing on the wheels. This error was enough for Lee to re-claim his number one position and winning A1.  In A2, Lee was able to jump out to a big lead while everyone else stumbled behind him. Half way into the race, and Lee was way ahead, with Peter Pinisch too far back to be pressing any buttons. Lee was able to cruise to victory in A2 and scored enough points to secure overall victory for the EFRA GP. Fellow TRF drivers Viktor Wilck and Marc Rheinard finished their first race with the TRF201 in 4th  and 5th overall respectively. Courtesy of Oople.com
