- Description: All you need is the following: 1x set Tamiya spool Out drive cups ( PART NUMBER ) 5 x Dremel cut off disks the normal red/brown ones ( together the measure 3.5mm - 4.mm ) 1 x Set Tamiya CVD blades (3mm) (PART NUMBER ) FIRST make sure your cvd slide smooth in and out of the out drive cup. Some are tight and require a light sand or reamer. 1.Then Carefully widen each existing slot, make sure you start with the wheel cutting out both slots as too keep it equal and centered and about half way down finish one side at a time. DO NOT TRY DO BOTH AT THE SAME TIME 2.Take a small round file or drill bit and finish the end. I also recommend filing down inwards to the inside center of the outdrive as I noticed the outside middle of the blade extends and touches the plastic outdrive in the inside center. 3. Next take an exacto knife and carefully remove all shavings inside the plastic outdrive cup and make sure it slides smooth. 4.You are done and assemble as per the instructions. Now you have the blade snug around the CVD pin and the blade will be the main point of impact, this being plastic against plastic will last much longer as there is more surface making contact and the alloy outdrive rings around the plastic outdrives insure nothing will stretch out.
