Getting to know Tamiya's kit and parts numbering system:

The following explanation is helpful to knowing how to obtain and order kits, spare parts, option parts and miscellaneous accessories from your local dealer. Remember this! Your original kit manual instruction is your best friend when you need to find replacement spare parts. It has a lot of useful information. Don't lose it.

Search tips:

"58xxx" Numbers starting with the numbers "58" always designate a car kit. "53xxx" Numbers starting with the numbers "53" always refer to an option upgrade part. "50xxx" Numbers starting with the numbers "50" always refer to a stock replacement part. "9XXXXXX" Numbers that are 7 digits always refer to stock replacement parts as well. "49xxx" Numbers starting with the numbers "49" always refer to a limited edition kit or limited edition option upgrade part.
