4/17/10- Outback Raceway, Greeneville, TN: This week was another weekly Spec Late Model event at my local track. The Tamiya TRF801 LM was pretty good in practice and heats, but with some bad luck, qualified 7th, which put us in the B-main. The B-main went well as we took 2nd and the final transfer spot to the A-main. In the A, a lot of cars were spinning and wrecking. It was one of the wildest races I have been in, but when the dust settled, our Tamiya 801 was in victory lane! Tamiya's first dirt oval win in only 4 races. Thanks to Tamiya, GFDracing, and everyone else that helped make this idea a reality. Next race at Outback is the OFNA spring nationals on 5/7/10, as we look to show them OFNA's how its done!!
4/24/10- C&S Raceway, Cherryville, NC: First round of the Outlaw Nitro Series. I made the trip down to NC of Friday for practice. The car was exceptional all day on Friday. Saturday, I started the day with some battery issues, but finally fixed them in time for the heats. In each heat, I had the fastest lap times and car, but I couldn't catch a break. I ended up qualifying 3rd out of the 12 car field. In the A-main, I still had a very fast car, but ran in 2nd for most of the race. With about ten seconds left, the leader broke, which opened the door for my second straight win and 2nd this year! I am stoked that we have had this kind of success in only 5 races with the Tamiya Late Model! Can't thank my sponsors and help enough! Looking foward to continuing my success in the next ONS race at Music City R/C in Nashville, TN on 5/15/10.
