I went to River Front RC for the 3rd Annual Labor Day Shootout. I got to the track on Friday to practice with my 801xt and the truck ran great all day. The track was really fun, it had a huge 25ft jump and a tricky log jam.
Qualifying- The first qualifier I was over driving the whole time but still put in a good time. The second Qualifier was going great until a screw backed out of the front knuckle. The third qualifier, in the warm up the truck felt great but on my first lap I crashed behind a berm and made a few other mistakes it was not a great run. I qualified first in the B Main.
B Main- I was starting first and stayed there for the whole race and won by 2 laps. This was my best run, it was a 15 minute race and I never crashed and ran my fastest laps.
A Main- I started 11th in the expert Truggy A Main. The start was great and by the second lap I was up to 3rd and stayed there until I had to pit, when I got out of the pits I was in 6th. Before my next pit I made it up to 4th, but my pit guy did not notice my truck so when I got out I was in 6th and a lap down from 3rd. I worked my way back up to fourth and finished there.
