On Friday May 21st I arrived to River Front RC track to practice. I ran five tanks in practice and made little set up changes all day until my buggy was dialed. The track lay out was a lot of fun. It had some challenging sections like "The Log Jam" and "The Windy Double."

Qualifying-  In the first qualifier I was in the pits twice getting my motor tuned. But I still managed to put in a eight lap run! Going into the second round of qualifying I was confident that I was going to put in a nine lap run and I did which qualified me second overall. In third qualifier I was in the pits for the first minute getting my motor tuned. Once I had crossed the line the rest of the pack was coming around for their second lap so I lost a lap,but my lap time was consistent and I only made one mistake. After three rounds of qualifying I was second overall, so I was going to be in the dash for cash.

The Dash for Cash- I was starting second for the Dash for Cash. This gave me a huge lead over the fast guys. The race was going great for the first two minutes. I had a half a lap lead. Then I crashed and by the time I got marshalled the pack had caught up.

The A Main- For the Main I started second. The start did not go well, my buggy was getting hit all over the place by ten other buggies. After the mess got sorted out I was just trying to catch up to the pack. As I was going into the pit lane I ran out of gas. Which was odd because I get 9 minutes on a tank and I pitted at seven just to be safe. I then flamed out just after leaving the pits, after all this I was a lap down. I worked my way up to 5th. I had a great time racing all weekend even though the Main did not go well. Next race is Nor-Cal Round 3 at Delta. I would like to thank the GFD team for helping me all weekend.
