This week I ventured out to get some more laps on the Tamiya LM chassis before next week's OFNA Spring Nationals! I tried a few things this week in hopes of improving my Tamiya rocket! Fortunately, the greatly improved my lap times at my local track!! The car handled like a dream, and I had plenty of power! I set TQ with 44 laps in 4:01 and went on to win the A-main. It was a tough main, as I had a bad start which put me a half-lap down, but I zoned in and was able to run the leader down and pass him just over 2 min into the race. from there I was able to win by a lap. I ran the fastest laps all night, setting the bar with a 5.168 sec lap in the 2nd heat. No one else was able to reach the 5.1's all night!! Thanks GFDracing, Tamiya, Kal-Gard, Answer-RC, and Ascendancy!!! I had a blast and cant wait til next weekend. The OFNA spring nats will consist of a full race program Friday night, and another full show on Saturday. The winners of the A-mains Friday night will be automatically locked in to the A-main on Saturday. After that, I'm off to Nashville two weekends in a row for the ONS series on Dirt Oval and then the RCPS TN state series on off-road the following week!!!
