2010 Canadian RC Pro Nationals
ELECTRIC BUGGY
With the electric TRF801x Buggy Steve was able to take TQ, with Team mate, Abiye Buirke and Tom Wright qualifying 2nd and 3rd.
In the Mains the electric buggies lined up 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. It was a Triple A format. Steve won the 1st round, Abiye finished 2nd, with Tom finishing 5th. In the 2nd round it was Abiye who won with Steve finishing 2nd and Tom was a DNF due to a electronics problem. In the 3rd and final round Steve had a great start and never looked back, Abiye and Tom ran 2nd and 3rd.
Tamiya Dominates the 2010 Off Road Euros
Lee Martin dominated the 2wd and 4wd classes winning TQ in both, as well as the 1st and 2nd legs to secure victory in both classes. In 2wd, Martin drove his 201x to victory in Leg 1 after a close battle with Hupo Honigl and Paul Bradby. Mistkes by all 3 drivers kept them close throughout the race. Martin made no such mistakes in Leg 2, and quickly pulled away from the field to wrap up his overall victory in the Euros.
Lee took the Leg 2 of the A final in Austria to go along with his win in the opening leg to win the 4WD title in the same manner as his win earlier this week in 2WD. In a damp rain-effected meeting, Lee Martin won the only two qualifiers that managed to run to completion to TQ the event. Only Jorn Neumann was able to challenge Lee Martin in both legs 1 & 2 of the A final but wasn't able to make a pass or be as consistent - making errors that cost him time.
2010 ETS: Another Championship for Rheinard
As the podium presentations get underway here in Andernach, Germany, and the curtain comes down on a third successful Euro Touring Series season the big question being asked is can anyone beat Marc Rheinard?
The German dominated the World Championships 2-weeks ago lifting his third World title and here at the sixth & final round of the Xenon Racing backed ETS the Tamiya star continued his rule over electric Touring Cars. Winning the third leg of the final from pole, Rheinard claimed his fourth win of the 2009/10 series and adds the overall title for the first time to his already enviable CV. Benefiting from being the only driver on fresh rubber, Rheinard took a relatively easy win over Ronald Volker and Atsushi Hara who joined him on the podium. Hara was content with the result but admitted he was no match for Rheinard who he has in the past openly said is the greatest driver in the World.
